Lytro Light Field Camera – a new way to take photos?

Following the introduction of the Lytro camera this week, I thought I would write a short post on it along with a bit on how it works, and why and in what context it might prove to be revolutionary.

The first thing I’ll mention is the design. It’s nice and back to basics: looks like what they’re trying to do is market it as something of an “iPod” camera. Remains to be seen how that strategy works out, but the product is nonetheless very interesting from a technical perspective.

App Review: LittleSnapper

This is the first in a series in which I will do mostly short introductions (but sometimes longer reviews) of the Mac apps that I rely on the most in my daily work. The Mac is so much more than the apps that Apple offer, and I wanted to take the opportunity to shine a spotlight on some of the other gems produced by smaller developers and by doing so hopefully introduce some of you to great software that you haven’t yet come across.
